Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island shortly before the end of her final year of junior high school. Her siblings include an older brother whose name is Gregory as well as a younger sibling named Evan. When she was nine until 16, she began working in the industry of entertainment via acting. The beginning of her acting career was at The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was studying the techniques of Sanford Meisner along with Ron Stetson for three years. Others who have received this education include Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, as well as other actors. Her first role was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, in which she had to relocate out to Los Angeles. The first film she appeared in was Johnny Mnemonic. She did every stunt in the film and established her as an athlete actress. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her agent for talent, she was able to get a regular part on Friends.
